Context and problem
Moomen Pro is a point-of-sale and management app for small businesses: sales, stock, customers and receipts.
The old website looked dated and did not make people want to sign up. The client wanted a modern website that presents the app, shows the plans and sells supplies such as printers and paper rolls.

My role
I designed and built the pages of the website, then connected them to two existing APIs: pricing and the shop. I also made the promo video through vibe motion design.

Approach
Visitors are mostly on mobile, sometimes with a slow connection. So I built a light website with static pages that load fast.
In the shop, each product has a button that opens WhatsApp with the product already filled in: this is how customers are used to ordering. Prices are shown in the local currency.

Technical choices
My choices were mostly driven by concrete problems.
- Astro
- Tailwind CSS
- TypeScript
- REST API
01A layout broken only once published
The website looked right on my computer but not once published: the desktop version looked like the mobile one. I found that the tool compressing the CSS removed part of the styles, and I turned it off.
02Showing the whole catalogue
The API sent products page by page, but the website only showed the first page. I added pagination.
03The right price in the right currency
I combined two API responses to show each plan in the local currency.
04SEO and accessibility basics
A title and description per page, a sitemap, a skip link to the content and support for the reduced motion setting.

Results
The new website is live. It presents the app, shows the plans in each country's currency and lets customers order supplies on WhatsApp.

What I learned
Always test the published version, not just the development one: the layout bug only existed once the site was live.
Next time, I will track sign-ups and clicks to WhatsApp to know whether the design choices work.
